With over 20 years of hands-on leadership in wound care and hyperbaric medicine, Jim Wilcox is nationally recognized as a clinical expert, published author, and pioneer in education. A retired U.S. Navy Master Chief Petty Officer and saturation diver, Jim brings a rare combination of operational excellence and deep clinical insight to every setting he works in. He has led major initiatives as Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Research & Physician Education at Serena Group, and held key roles in quality, education, and clinical process at organizations nationwide.
Jim has authored over 25 peer-reviewed papers, co-edited the first textbook on hyperbaric nursing, and contributed to major scientific publications including The Journal of the American Medical Association. Currently, he leads The Wound Care Experts, LLC, where he continues to consult, educate, and shape the field through innovation, best practices, and mentorship. His career reflects a lifelong commitment to elevating standards, training the next generation, and making wound care more effective and accessible across the country.
